Siri is not immune to having it’s recordings analyzed, similar to Amazon and Google’s digital assistants. This should come to not surprise of anyone, who wants a better digital assistant — it can’t get better without real people. The issue here is Apple putting itself on it’s usual more private than thou pedestal.

This should be a nightmare to every consumer. Sure, having one place to go that has all of your services and apps is great, but competition helps force these companies to be better and allows for movement as we wish between competitors. We need competition that’s not mandated by the government but by us, the consumer.
